Biography
Jan Munroe is an American actor. He was born on 24 June 1952 in Iowa City, Iowa. He began his career in experimental theatre and performance art, studying with Marcel Marceau and Étienne Decroux, and was an original member of The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo.
Munroe has appeared in supporting roles in films including The Grifters (1990) as a guy in the bar, Catch Me If You Can (2002) as Captain Oliver, Poseidon (2006) as Nick, and Ford v Ferrari (2019) as Edwin Turley. His television credits include Criminal Minds (2005) as Dr Sherman, Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013) as Dr Henderson, Monk (2002) as Dr Graydon Whitcomb, and For All Mankind (2019) as Dr Weddle.
He has been married to actress Frances Conroy since April 1992. Munroe has also worked extensively in Los Angeles experimental theatre and received NEA Theatre fellowships and other awards for his stage work.
