Biography
Jane Curtin is an American actress and comedian. Born on 6 September 1947 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, she trained at Elizabeth Seton College and began her career in comedy groups and off-Broadway productions.
She rose to prominence as one of the original cast members of Saturday Night Live from 1975 to 1980. Curtin won back-to-back Emmy Awards for her lead role as Allison Lowell in the sitcom Kate & Allie (1984–1989) and later played Dr Mary Albright in 3rd Rock from the Sun (1996–2001).
Her film credits include Prymatt in Coneheads (1993), Muffy in Antz (1998), Mrs Mullins in The Heat (2013) and Marjorie in Can You Ever Forgive Me? (2018). She has also appeared in The Librarian television films as Charlene.
