Biography

Jane Robinson is a British costume designer. Born in Manchester, she studied at Manchester College of Art and later in Los Angeles. She began her career working in London fashion houses before moving into costume design in 1968, joining Thames Television as a costume designer.

Robinson is known for her work on the television miniseries Brideshead Revisited (1981), for which she won a BAFTA Television Craft Award for Best Costume Design and received an Emmy nomination. She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Costume Design for the film A Handful of Dust (1988). Her other credits include Jennie: Lady Randolph Churchill (1974), Memphis Belle (1990), Picture Perfect (1997) and From Time to Time (2009).
