Biography
Jarin Blaschke is an American cinematographer. Born on 28 September 1978 in Westminster, California, he moved to New York City at the age of 16 to study film at the School of Visual Arts.
Blaschke is best known for his long collaboration with director Robert Eggers. He served as director of photography on The Witch (2015), The Lighthouse (2019), The Northman (2022) and Nosferatu (2024). For The Lighthouse he received an Academy Award nomination and won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Cinematography; he was also nominated for a BAFTA. He received a second Academy Award nomination for Nosferatu.
His other credits include Knock at the Cabin (2023). Blaschke lives in England and is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers.
