Biography
Jason Konopisos-Alvarez is an American actor and voice artist. Born on 10 March 1970 in Virginia Beach, Virginia, he studied Existential Phenomenology at the University of Dallas before beginning master's studies at Rice University. He started performing stand-up comedy in Houston and made his screen debut in the 2001 VH1 film Too Legit: The MC Hammer Story.
He has appeared in more than 60 film and television projects. His credits include live-action roles in Idiocracy (2006), Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay (2008), Barry (2018) and High Potential (2024), and voice work in King of the Hill, Starfield and Creature Commandos (2024). He voiced Shockwave and Guard 2 in the animated film Transformers One (2024). He has also worked as a writer, producer and director, and served as a stunt double on Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011).
