Biography
Jason Moran is an American jazz pianist and composer. Born in Houston, Texas, in 1975, he trained at the Manhattan School of Music.
Moran composed the score for the feature film Selma (2014), his first for a narrative feature. He also scored the documentary 13th (2016). He serves as Artistic Director for Jazz at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and received a MacArthur Fellowship in 2010.
