Biography
Jay Beattie is a television writer and producer. He has written episodes for series including American Horror Story (2019), Criminal Minds, Outer Banks (2020–), Star Trek: Discovery (2019), Scorpion (2015), Revenge and Cold Case.
Beattie created Matador (2014) and The Crossing (2018), and developed Scream: The TV Series (2015–2019). He has worked as consulting producer, co-executive producer or executive producer on many of these programmes, including as showrunner on Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol (2021). He also contributed to The Event (2010) and Surface (2005).
