Biography
Laura Belsey is an American television director. Born in New Orleans, she was raised in Switzerland and graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She began her career directing commercials and won a Gold Lion at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
Belsey has directed episodes of numerous series, including six episodes of The Walking Dead (2019–2021), episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2013–2014) and later Law & Order (2025), as well as Arrow, The Flash, Criminal Minds, Shadow and Bone (2023) and Dr. Death (2023). She also directed the documentary Katrina’s Children (2008).
A member of the Directors Guild of America since 1993, Belsey was elected National Vice President of the guild in 2023.
