Biography
Darnell Martin is an American film and television director, screenwriter and producer. She was born on 7 January 1964 in the Bronx, New York City.
Martin studied at Sarah Lawrence College and New York University. Her debut feature I Like It Like That (1994) was the first film directed by an African-American woman for a major Hollywood studio. She has directed episodes of numerous television series, including Homicide: Life on the Street (1996), Oz (1997), ER (1994), Law & Order (1990) and Grey's Anatomy (2005), as well as later series such as The Walking Dead and Chicago Fire.
