Biography

Jay Karnes is an American actor. He was born on 27 June 1963 in Omaha, Nebraska, and graduated from the University of Kansas in 1989.

In the mid-1990s he was a company member at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, appearing in productions including Love's Labour's Lost and Tom Stoppard's Arcadia. He is best known for portraying LAPD detective Holland 'Dutch' Wagenbach on the series The Shield (2002–2008). He also had a recurring role as ATF Agent Josh Kohn on Sons of Anarchy (2008).

Karnes is married to actress Julia Campbell.
