Biography
Jay Scherick is a screenwriter and producer. He is the son of producer Edgar J. Scherick. He began his career in production roles on films including The Natural (1984), Desperately Seeking Susan (1985) and Radio Days (1987).
His writing credits include the screenplays for I Spy (2002), Serving Sara (2002), National Security (2003), Guess Who (2005), Norbit (2007), Zookeeper (2011), The Smurfs (2011), The Smurfs 2 (2013), Baywatch (2017) and Clifford the Big Red Dog (2021). He has also worked as a producer and consulting producer on television series including Spin City and Madigan Men.
Scherick has been married to Macie Sears since 1992; they have three children.
