Biography
Jay Tavare is an American actor. He was born on 18 June 1968 in the Navajo Nation, United States.
Tavare is known for his role as Vega in Street Fighter (1994). He played Matthew Osceola in Adaptation. (2002), Kayitah in The Missing (2003), Swimmer in Cold Mountain (2003), Black Wing in Pathfinder (2007), and Sharp Teeth in Bone Tomahawk (2015). He also appeared in The Revenant (2015) and episodes of CSI: Miami (2008) and Into the West (2005).
Tavare performed his own stunts in CSI: Miami, including a controlled free fall that received an Emmy nomination. He won Best Actor at the American Indian Film Festival for his role in Unbowed (1999).
