Biography
Jayson Warner Smith is an American actor working in film, television and theatre. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, he began performing in theatre at the age of nine and has appeared in a production or screen role almost every year since.
He is best known for recurring roles as Gavin in The Walking Dead (2016–2018) and Wendall Jelks in Rectify (2013–2014). Other credits include American Made (2017), Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013), 42 (2013), Footloose (2011), Where the Crawdads Sing (2022), Emancipation (2022), Outer Banks (2020) and Tulsa King (2022). He appeared in two films at the Sundance Film Festival in both 2015 and 2016. Smith also teaches acting in Atlanta.
