Biography
Jean Bourgoin was a French cinematographer. Born in Paris on 4 March 1913, he began working in film in the mid-1930s and remained active until the early 1970s.
He served as director of photography on films including It Happened at the Inn (1943), La Marseillaise (1938), Mon Oncle (1958), Black Orpheus (1959), The Counterfeit Traitor (1962) and Gigot (1962). He shared the Academy Award for Best Cinematography (Black-and-White) for his work on the 1962 war film The Longest Day.
Bourgoin died in Paris on 3 September 1991.
