Biography
Jean Heather (born Jean Heatherington) was an American actress. She appeared in eight feature films during the 1940s, including as Lola Dietrichson in Double Indemnity (1944) and as Carol James in Going My Way (1944).
Born on 21 February 1921 in Omaha, Nebraska, she graduated from Oakland High School after her family moved to California. She later attended the University of California at Berkeley, Oregon State University and the University of Washington before signing a contract with Paramount. Her other film credits include Our Hearts Were Young and Gay (1944), The National Barn Dance (1944), Murder, He Says (1945), Duffy's Tavern (1945), The Well-Groomed Bride (1946), The Last Round-up (1947) and Red Stallion in the Rockies (1949).
Heather married Arthur F. Meier in 1944. A serious automobile accident in December 1947 ended her acting career. She died on 29 October 1995 in Los Angeles, California.
