Biography
Jeffrey Addiss is a writer and producer. He was born on 21 November 1980 in Buffalo, New York, USA. He trained at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts and the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School in New York City.
Addiss created and wrote the Netflix series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019) with Will Matthews, for which he won a Primetime Emmy Award. He wrote the screenplay and story for the animated film The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim (2024) and the film Life in a Year (2020). With Matthews, he created the Netflix series The Boroughs (2026), on which he also serves as executive producer and showrunner; the series was produced by the Duffer Brothers.
