Biography
Jeri Taylor was an American television writer and producer. She graduated in English from Indiana University Bloomington and earned a master's degree from California State University, Northridge. She began writing for television in 1979 and worked on series including Little House on the Prairie, Quincy, M.E. (where she also produced and directed episodes), Magnum, P.I. and Jake and the Fatman.
Taylor joined the staff of Star Trek: The Next Generation in 1990 as supervising producer during its fourth season. She later served as co-executive producer and as executive producer and showrunner for the seventh and final season. She received story credit on three episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and co-created Star Trek: Voyager, serving as executive producer and showrunner for its first four seasons until 1998. She received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series for her work on The Next Generation.
