Biography

Jerry Perzigian is an American television writer and producer. He began his career in the late 1970s on The Jeffersons, contributing as a writer, story editor and later producer on dozens of episodes through 1985.

He went on to work as a writer and supervising producer on The Golden Girls (1990–1992), wrote an episode of Frasier (1994), and held producing or writing roles on series including Bob, The Nanny, Hope & Gloria and Malcolm & Eddie. Perzigian created the sitcoms Here and Now (1992) and Trial and Error (1988). He received three Primetime Emmy nominations and won one Emmy in 2004. He has also taught television writing at the University of Chicago and the Jacob Krueger Studio.
