Biography
Jerry Potter is an American actor. He was born on 2 December 1938 in Evansville, Indiana.
Potter began his screen career in the early 1980s. His credits include the role of Pete in Misery (1990), George Washington in Wild Wild West (1999), Red Hayle in the television film The Quick and the Dead (1987), and Sheriff Jake in Scanner Cop II (1995). On television he has appeared in episodes of Quantum Leap (1992), Matlock (1990–1991), Dallas (1990–1991), Murder, She Wrote (1989) and Falcon Crest (1981), often playing sheriffs or other authority figures.
After a period of reduced activity following 1999, he returned to acting with roles in Adam Ruins Everything (2015), I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson (2019) and Phobias (2021).
