Biography

Jerzy Kosiński (also credited as Jerzy Kosinski, Joseph Novak and Józef Lewinkopf) was a Polish-American novelist and actor. Born on 14 June 1933 in Łódź, Poland, he died on 3 May 1991.

Kosiński wrote the 1971 novel Being There, which he adapted with Robert C. Jones into the screenplay for the 1979 film of the same name directed by Hal Ashby. He also appeared in a cameo in that film. He played Grigory Zinoviev in Warren Beatty's Reds (1981).
