Biography
Jessica Gao is an American television writer and producer. She was born on 2 January 1984 in Hanford, California. After winning the Nickelodeon Writers Fellowship in 2006, she began her career writing for the network's series including The Mighty B! (2008) and Back at the Barnyard (2007).
Gao has written for Silicon Valley (2014), Corporate (2018) and other series. She joined the writing room for the third season of Rick and Morty (2013), serving as executive story editor and writing the episode 'Pickle Rick'. For that episode she won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Programme in 2018.
Gao created and served as head writer on the series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022).
