Biography
Jim Cash was an American screenwriter. He was born in Boyne City, Michigan, and studied at Michigan State University, where he earned a BA in English in 1970 and an MA in Television and Radio in 1972. He later taught courses in writing and film history at the university.
In 1975, while at Michigan State University, Cash began a long-term writing partnership with former student Jack Epps Jr. They collaborated remotely, with Cash based in East Lansing, Michigan. Their credits include the screenplays for Legal Eagles (1986), Top Gun (1986), The Secret of My Success (1987), Turner & Hooch (1989) and Dick Tracy (1990), as well as Anaconda (1997).
