Biography
Jim Handley was an American assistant director and director. He worked primarily with Walt Disney Productions on animated features during the studio's early period.
He directed the 'Pastoral Symphony' segment of Fantasia (1940) and served as assistant director on Pinocchio (1940) and cartoon sequences for The Reluctant Dragon (1941). Later credits include directing Disney television specials DTV: Rock, Rhythm & Blues (1984) and DTV Valentine (1986). He was born in Los Angeles, California, and died in Charleston, South Carolina.
