Biography

Jim True-Frost (born Jim True) is an American actor known for stage, television and film work. He has been an ensemble member of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago since 1989, having previously performed with Remains Theater. He graduated from New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois, and received a Joseph Jefferson Award for his stage work.

True-Frost is best known for portraying Roland 'Prez' Pryzbylewski across all five seasons of the HBO series The Wire (2002–2008). His film credits include Singles (1992), The Hudsucker Proxy (1994) as Buzz, and Affliction (1997). He has also appeared in series such as Treme, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Manifest.
