Biography
Jim Ramos Vickers, also credited as James P. Vickers or Jim Vickers, is an American stunt coordinator, fight choreographer, second unit director and occasional director. He began his career in stunts after working as a firefighter and paramedic, and after earning a fourth-degree black belt in martial arts. He trained actors in fight scenes before moving into coordination and directing work.
Vickers has coordinated stunts and directed second unit on numerous films and television series, including Catch Me If You Can (2002), Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), Equilibrium (2002), The Mask of Zorro (1998), Lucifer (2016), House (2004), CSI: Miami (2002) and Scorpion (2014). He received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Stunt Coordination for CSI: Miami and further nominations for House and other series. He also served as kidnapping consultant on Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2006).
