Biography
Jocelyn Pook is an English composer and viola player. She graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London in 1983, where she studied the viola.
Pook is known for her film scores, including Eyes Wide Shut (1999) directed by Stanley Kubrick, The Merchant of Venice (2004), The Wife (2017) and Room in Rome (2010). She has also composed for theatre, including productions at the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company, and for dance works by Akram Khan.
Her scores and performances have received awards including a BAFTA for the 2017 television adaptation of King Charles III, an Olivier Award and two British Composer Awards.
