Biography
Jody Hill is an American director, producer, screenwriter and actor. He co-created the HBO series Eastbound & Down (2009–2013) with Danny McBride and Ben Best, serving as writer, director of multiple episodes and executive producer.
Hill graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. His feature films include The Foot Fist Way (2006), which he directed, co-wrote, co-produced and starred in, and Observe and Report (2009), which he directed and wrote. He has also directed and executive produced the series Vice Principals (2016–2017) and The Righteous Gemstones (2019–2025).
