Biography
Joe Klotz is an American film editor. He trained at Syracuse University and began his career as a television editor in New York City, later working on sketch comedy series including Upright Citizens Brigade and Chappelle's Show.
His feature credits include Junebug (2005), Grace Is Gone (2007), Choke (2008) and Rabbit Hole (2010). He edited three films directed by Lee Daniels: Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire (2009), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing, The Paperboy (2012) and The Butler (2013). Other notable work includes the To All the Boys trilogy (2018–2021), Motherless Brooklyn (2019) and Love at First Sight (2023). Klotz is a member of the American Cinema Editors.
