Biography
Joe Locke (born Joseph William Locke, 24 September 2003) is a Manx actor. He is known for his lead role as Charlie Spring in the Netflix series Heartstopper (2022–2024) and its concluding film Heartstopper Forever (2026), for which he also serves as an executive producer.
Locke made his screen debut in Heartstopper after an open casting call. He has also starred as Billy Maximoff / Wiccan in the Disney+ series Agatha All Along (2024). On stage, he made his Broadway debut as Tobias Ragg in the revival of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2024) and his West End debut in Clarkston (2025). He received two Children's and Family Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Performance for Heartstopper, winning in 2025, and was nominated for a Film Independent Spirit Award for Agatha All Along.
