Biography
John Amodeo is an American television producer, line producer, unit production manager and former editor. He began his career as an editor, working on programmes for Johnny Carson, before joining the Directors Guild of America as an associate director and later moving into production executive roles.
Amodeo produced series including Sports Night (1998–2000), Titus (2000–2002), on which he also directed and oversaw the shift to high-definition videotape production, Arrested Development (2004–2006) and Samantha Who? (2007–2009). He later served as executive producer on Last Man Standing (2011–2021) and Shifting Gears (2025–). He received Primetime Emmy nominations for Arrested Development and Producers Guild of America awards for his work on the series.
