Biography
John Collins is a production designer and art director. Born on 30 October 1974 in East Lansing, Michigan, USA, he holds a professional degree in architecture, which included a year at the Volgograd Academy of Architecture in Russia, and an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts, with additional graduate classes at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts.
He began his career designing for theatre and live theme park shows in San Diego. Collins served as supervising art director on The Hunger Games (2012) and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013). He has worked as art director on films including Passengers (2016), The Accountant (2016) and Gemini Man (2019), and as production designer on The Banker (2020), Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul. (2022), Uglies (2024) and Scream 7 (2026). His television credits include art direction on WandaVision (2021) and production design on Agatha All Along (2024).
