Biography
John Foreman was an American film producer. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, he served in the US Navy during the Second World War and later co-founded the Creative Management Agency, which became ICM. In the late 1960s he formed Newman-Foreman Productions with actor Paul Newman.
Foreman produced Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture, as well as The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean (1972), The Mackintosh Man (1973), The Man Who Would Be King (1975) and Prizzi's Honor (1985). He collaborated on four films with director John Huston and was nominated for a second Best Picture Oscar for Prizzi's Honor. He also served as vice president in charge of worldwide theatrical production at MGM/UA.
Foreman was married to actress and singer Linda Lawson from 1961 until his death. He died in Beverly Hills, California, in November 1992.
