Biography
John Frizzell is an American film and television composer. Born in New York City in 1966, he sang soprano as a child in the National Cathedral Choir, the Paris Opera Company and the Metropolitan Opera Company. He later studied music at the University of Southern California and the Manhattan School of Music, focusing on jazz guitar, and worked with producer Michael Mainieri on commercials, films and records.
Frizzell is known for his long collaboration with Mike Judge, scoring the films Beavis and Butt-Head Do America (1996), Office Space (1999) and Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe (2022), and the series King of the Hill. His other credits include Alien Resurrection (1997), Dante's Peak (1997), Ghost Ship (2002), Thir13en Ghosts (2001) and Texas Chainsaw 3D (2013).
