Biography
John McCririck (17 April 1940 – 5 July 2019) was an English horse racing pundit, journalist and television personality. He began his career at The Sporting Life, where he won two British Press Awards for campaigning journalism before being sacked in 1984. He later became a prominent figure on Channel 4 Racing, known for his distinctive on-course reports.
McCririck appeared as himself in several television programmes, including the Still Game episode 'Drama' (2006) and Brass Eye (1997). He also took part in reality and celebrity shows such as Celebrity Big Brother and The Weakest Link.
