Biography
John Tormey was an American actor. Born on 4 August 1937 in Willimantic, Connecticut, he began his career as a child performer in the 1940s and later appeared on Broadway in productions including Our Town (1969).
Tormey is best known for playing Louie in Jim Jarmusch's Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999). He appeared in films such as The Curse of the Jade Scorpion (2001), Stay (2005) and Be Kind Rewind (2008), and had multiple guest roles on Law & Order. He also voiced a character in the video game Grand Theft Auto IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony (2009). Tormey died on 3 March 2022.
