Biography
Jon Michael Hill is an American actor. He was born on 28 July 1985 in Waukegan, Illinois, and graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in studio acting. He is an ensemble member of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago.
Hill is known for his television roles as Detective Damon Washington in Detroit 1-8-7 (2010–2011) and Detective Marcus Bell in Elementary (2012–2019), in which he also directed one episode. His other credits include Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2011), Person of Interest (2011), Eastbound & Down (2012), The Good Fight (2020), A Man in Full (2024) and Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed (2026) as Detective Baxter. On stage, he received Tony Award nominations for his performances in the Broadway productions Superior Donuts (2010) and Purpose (2025).
