Biography
Jon Morrison is a Scottish actor. Born in Glasgow, he began acting as a child and trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. His television career started in the early 1970s with roles in series such as Adam Smith and Sutherland's Law.
He is known for appearances in Peter McDougall's Play for Today dramas Just Another Saturday (1975) and The Elephant's Graveyard (1976), both alongside Billy Connolly. Film roles include Angus in Gary Oldman's Nil by Mouth (1997) and Douglas in Ken Loach's Sweet Sixteen (2002).
Morrison played DC Kenny Lockhart in the ITV series Vera from 2011 to 2025. Other television credits include The Bill, Taggart, Monarch of the Glen and High Times.
