Biography

Jonathan Phillips, also credited as Jonny Phillips, is an English actor born in London in 1963. He trained at Laureate Academy and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

He is best known for portraying 2nd Officer Charles Lightoller in the film Titanic (1997). Other film roles include the Prison Governor in Bronson (2008), NKVD Officer Pervak in The Death of Stalin (2017) and Richard de Burgh, Earl of Ulster in Outlaw King (2018). Television credits include appearances in Agatha Christie's Poirot (1989 and 1993), Midsomer Murders (1997), Vanity Fair (2004), The Edge of Love (2008), Death in Paradise (2011) and A Touch of Frost (1992) as Damien Law / Frankie Barton, as well as Clarissa (1991).

Phillips has been married to actress Yolanda Vazquez since 1989.
