Biography
Jono Oliver is a director and former assistant director working in film and television. He has directed episodes of series including The Blacklist (2013), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999), Chicago Fire (2012), Chicago Med (2015), For Life (2020), Bull (2016) and Power Book II: Ghost (2020).
In 2013 he wrote and directed the feature film Home, which received a nomination for an NAACP Image Award for Directing. He previously worked for many years as a first or second assistant director on projects such as Fences (2016), The Great Debaters (2007), Guess Who (2005), Snake Eyes (1998) and Virtuosity (1995).
Oliver grew up in Brooklyn and holds a B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University. He also wrote and directed the short film The Window (2000).
