Biography
Jördis Triebel is a German actress. Born on 30 October 1977 in East Berlin, she trained at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts from 1997 to 2001. After graduating, she joined the ensemble at the Bremer Theater until 2004 and appeared in guest roles at other venues including the Schauspielhaus Zürich and Schauspiel Köln.
Triebel's film roles include the lead in Emma's Bliss (2006), Joan's mother in Pope Joan (2009), and parts in West (2013), The Silent Revolution (2018) and Blood & Gold (2023). On television she has played Katharina Nielsen in the Netflix series Dark (2017–2020), Dr Völcker in Babylon Berlin (2017–) and Princess Ludovika in The Empress (2022). She is also credited as Laura Hoffmann in the 2026 series City of Blood.
She received a best actress award at the 2013 Montreal World Film Festival for West and multiple nominations for the Deutscher Filmpreis.
