Biography
Joseph A. Mitchell, also credited as Joe Mitchell, was an American screenwriter. He was born on 22 May 1866 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and died on 21 April 1950 in Los Angeles, California.
Mitchell contributed to several Buster Keaton silent comedy films in the 1920s. He received story credit on Sherlock Jr. (1924), shared with Jean Havez and Clyde Bruckman. He is credited on the screenplay and story for Our Hospitality (1923) and provided the screen version for Seven Chances (1925). Other credits include story work on Three Ages (1923) and The Navigator (1924).
