Biography
Joseph Stephens is an American composer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, also credited as Joey Stephens. He began scoring student films while attending college in North Carolina and formed early working relationships with filmmakers including Danny McBride, Jody Hill and David Gordon Green.
Stephens is a founding member of the band Pyramid and a frequent collaborator on projects such as the HBO series Eastbound & Down and Vice Principals, the film Observe and Report (2009), and the Netflix series Never Have I Ever (2020). His other credits include Upload (2020), The Righteous Gemstones (2019) and Running Point (2025).
