Biography
Josephine Bornebusch is a Swedish actress and director. Born Leyla Jerrie Josephine Bornebusch on 12 September 1981 in Stockholm, she began performing as a child with Vår teater, a children's theatre company.
As an actress she is known for playing Mickan Schiller in the long-running series Solsidan (2010–) and Emma in Welcome to Sweden (2014). She made her directorial debut with the 2018 film Lasse-Majas detektivbyrå – Det första mysteriet and has since written and directed the series Älska mig (2019–2020), in which she also starred. Her international directing credits include episodes of Bad Sisters (2022), Baby Reindeer (2024) and Vladimir (2026), as well as the 2024 film Let Go, which she also wrote and in which she appeared.
