Biography
Juan Ruiz Anchía is a Spanish cinematographer. Born in Bilbao, he graduated from the Escuela Oficial de Cinematografía in Madrid in 1972 and from the AFI Conservatory in 1981.
He has worked extensively in American and international film, with frequent collaborations with directors David Mamet and James Foley. His credits include House of Games (1987), Glengarry Glen Ross (1992), The Jungle Book (1994), Confidence (2003), Spartan (2004) and Innocent Voices (2005). He received a Goya Award for best cinematography for Mararía (1998).
Anchía is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers.
