Biography
Judith Evelyn (born Evelyn Morris) was an American-born stage and film actress who worked primarily in Canada and the United States. She was born on 20 March 1909 in Seneca, South Dakota, and raised in Canada, where she attended the University of Manitoba and developed her acting skills at Hart House, University of Toronto.
Evelyn appeared on Broadway in plays including Angel Street (1941), Craig's Wife (1947) and The Shrike (1952). Her film roles include Miss Lonelyhearts in Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window (1954), Nancy Lynnton in Giant (1956), Taia in The Egyptian (1954), and Mrs Martha Ryerson Higgins in The Tingler (1959). She also appeared in episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents and died on 7 May 1967 in New York City.
