Biography
Judith Ivey is an American actress and theatre director. She was born on 4 September 1951 in El Paso, Texas, and studied at Illinois State University.
Ivey is a two-time Tony Award winner for Best Featured Actress in a Play, for Steaming (1983) and Hurlyburly (1985). She received further Tony nominations for Park Your Car in Harvard Yard (1992) and a revival of The Heiress. Her screen work includes the films The Devil's Advocate (1997) and Women Talking (2022), in which she played Agata.
On television she has appeared in series including Designing Women, Grey's Anatomy, White Collar and New Amsterdam, and received a Primetime Emmy nomination for the television film What the Deaf Man Heard (1997).
