Biography
Judith McCreary is an American television writer and producer. She has also been credited as Judi McCreary and Judy McCreary.
She began her career writing feature films and secured a two-picture deal at Universal. Her first television writing credit came in 1995 on New York Undercover. She contributed numerous episodes as writer and teleplay author to Law & Order: Special Victims Unit from 2000 onwards, rising to co-executive producer on the series. She also wrote episodes of Criminal Minds and served as co-executive producer on its first season.
McCreary has worked on other series including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Secrets and Lies, NCIS: New Orleans, FBI and American Soul, where she was showrunner. She received nominations for an Edgar Allan Poe Award and an Image Award for her writing on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
