Biography
Judy Loe was an English actress. Born Judith Margaret Loe on 6 March 1947 in Urmston, Manchester, she died on 15 July 2025.
She graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BA in English and drama. After early work in repertory theatre and the musical Hair, she appeared as Nurse #1 in Monty Python's The Meaning of Life (1983).
Loe was known for television roles including Dr Helen Sanders in General Hospital (1978–1979), Pamela in Singles (1988–1991) and Adele Cecil in Inspector Morse. She was the mother of actress Kate Beckinsale from her marriage to actor Richard Beckinsale; she later married director Roy Battersby.
