Biography
Judy Reyes is an American actress. She was born on 5 November 1967 in New York City to Dominican immigrant parents and began her career with guest roles on series such as Law & Order and NYPD Blue in the 1990s, alongside early theatre work.
She is best known for playing nurse Carla Espinosa on the medical comedy Scrubs (2001–2009) and its 2026 revival, Zoila Diaz on Devious Maids (2013–2016), Annalise "Quiet Ann" Zayas on Claws (2017–2022), and Lieutenant Selena Soto on High Potential (2024–). Other credits include recurring roles on Jane the Virgin and Succession, and film appearances in Bringing Out the Dead (1999), Smile (2022) and Birth/Rebirth (2023).
Reyes trained at Hunter College and has a twin sister, Joselin Reyes, who is also an actress.
