Biography
Julia Cameron is an American writer, journalist and screenwriter. Born on 4 March 1948 in Libertyville, Illinois, she began her career in journalism after college, writing for The Washington Post and Rolling Stone.
Her screenwriting credits include the Miami Vice episode 'Junk Love' (1985) and the treatment for American Boy: A Profile of Steven Prince (1978). She wrote, produced and directed the independent feature God's Will (1989).
Cameron is the author of the bestselling creativity guide The Artist's Way (1992) and numerous other non-fiction books, novels and plays. She was married to film director Martin Scorsese from 1976 to 1977; they have one daughter.
